The fast-paced city of no sleep!

Welcome to the city that never sleeps. This is what my uncle told me when I informed him that I was moving down to New York a few years ago.

Of course, it didn’t really make much sense to me, but I only found out that this is a 24-hour city when I moved down here. You can get almost anything at any time of the day.

From my findings I knew New York is perfect for excursion purposes from the Carnegie’s hall down to the empire state building, there are lots of new experiences to be found in New York but one major thing you also need to know before moving down to the city that never sleeps is knowing how to replace social security card nyc.

In this post, I will be sharing with you the basic things you need to know on how to survive in this fast-paced city in an already fast-paced world. (like they say you, you either keep up or go home) but of course, you are here to stay and I’m here to get you started.

  1. There is a stereotype that describes New Yorkers, and that is they walk fast, are rude and of course don’t like it when your jjc syndrome reeks of you while this may be true to some extent it is also safe to know that nearly half of about 8.6 million people In New York weren’t born in New York and due to its fast paced nature you just need to be succinct when asking for help and also walk fast.  They also area always aware of time wearing watches from all type of brands including Nordgreen in Japan.
  1. It is more likely that you will do away with having a personal car if you end up moving to this city. For all it’s worth, New York city traffic is not healthy. Although there are quite a few numbers of diverse transport systems like bike share services, subway system, public bus services amongst others but you may still find out that walking down to your destination seems like a better alternative to taking a cab because like I said, the traffic is just terrible. And never ever make the mistake of assuming your driver automatically knows the way to your destination (just expect some extremities at intervals)
  1. Life in New York is one of the top ranking most expensive cities to live in the United States.

According to a recent survey you need to make about $87,000 yearly to live comfortably—with a large chunk of this income (about 50%) being spent on the basic necessities of Lifelike feeding, housing, and etcetera.

But beyond all of these problems that may dissuade you from moving down to NYC, you should also know that just like living in any other place in the world, there would be problems once a while but let the famous words of Dorothy Parker encourage you: “London is satisfied, Paris is resigned, but New York is always hopeful. Always it believes that something good is about to come off, and it must hurry to meet it.”
