Is Atheism a Religion? (Hint: No)

atheism religion baldness hairstyleRarely do I make new articles based on my interactions with commenters, but a recent one warranted a full response. From my article “Read a Bible – Become an Atheist (In That Order)” one commenter said:

Sorry, atheism is a religion, as it is a system of belief…a very simple one (not saying that everyone’s beliefs are simple, but the simple fact being that one chooses NOT to believe in God). It takes great leaps of faith to believe that there is no God.

Read a Bible, Become an Atheist (in That Order)

Atheists and Christians may not agree on everything, but one thing is certain: They want you to read the bible. When I first decided to write this article, I was planning to compare quotes about why a Christian and an atheist may want others to read the bible. But considering the fact that (as I wrote in my last article) I was threatened with a lawsuit from a Christian website, I won’t be doing that. Instead, I’ll just use my own words: Christians think that reading the bible will make you believe in God. Studies show otherwise.

The Church’s Underground Baby Trade

Spain_stolen_babies_siser_maria_nun

If you thought religious figures were all moral and decent… we have to talk. What people in Spain have known for just a few years is that nuns and doctors had been working together to commit unbelievable crimes. Imagine a women who successfully gives birth while being put under pain-killing anesthesia. After lucidly waking up from the anesthesia, she is informed that she had a miscarriage. Thousands of vulnerable mothers would never have suspected any sinister conspiracy; but that’s exactly the case. Nuns, nurses and doctors worked together to steal babies in order to sell them for profit. After all, there’s good money in the underground baby trade.
